Bake 'n Shake: Coco Choco-nutty Bars
COCO CHOCO-NUTTY BARS
What started as a simple brownie turned a little bit nutty. This is a crowd favorite!
INGREDIENTS |

2/3 cup shortening |

In a large
bowl, mix together shortening, sugar, vanilla, and eggs into a creamy
texture. |
2 cups brown sugar |

1 tsp vanilla extract |

3 eggs |

2 cups all-purpose flour |

Blend-in flour,
baking powder, and salt. 3.
Mix well. |
1 tsp. baking powder |

½ tsp salt |
|
Depending how quick you are in prepping #’s 1-3
above, this may be the time to preheat oven to 350°F and grease baking pan(s). |

1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate/dark
chocolate chips |
4.
Fold-in chocolate
chips, walnuts, and coconut into the mixture.
Do not worry if you see chunks or it is not smooth; it will make the
finished product yummier. |
¾ cups chopped walnuts |

½ cup shredded coconut |

Bake for 20-25
minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean and dry. 6.
Cool completely
before cutting into squares. |
STORAGE: Store in airtight container
or wrap individually using a plastic wrap. Place in room temperature for up
to 3 days. |
