LUTO-LUTO: Ask any Filipino immigrant about what they miss most about the Philippines. Apart from - and maybe sometimes ahead of - family and barkada, they would blurt-out FOOD! As much as Filipino restaurants and supermarkets are popping all around America, it just tastes different at home. Below are some of my favorite foods growing-up in the Philippines. I am a newbie when it comes to baking and cooking, but the journey became more than just learning how to bake or cook. It brought nostalgia and deep love for a culture I miss so much.
