My name is Rhea F. Faeldonea-Walker and welcome to my blog. I humbly invite you to REFLECT FORWARD with me.

REFLECTIONS - I do not think Facebook will be sending me a reminder of events from forty, thirty, or twenty years ago. So, I will try to capture memorable experiences as best as I can. It is not the experience - but my reflections of the experience - that made me who I am today.
HOY, PILIPINO! or Hey, Filipino! or Hello, Filipino! - I was born, raised, and educated in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. I immigrated to the United States of America when I was twenty-six years old. Growing-up Filipino with an American Dream is that part of myself that is still evolving.

EDUCATION - I am currently an Assistant Principal for a school district in Southern California. I previously served as a classroom teacher in Middle School, High School, Adult School, and Independent Studies. I taught Communication, English as a Second Language (ESL), English Language Arts (ELA), English Language Development (ELD), and Filipino. I also served as a District English Curriculum Specialist where I created curriculum and assessments as well as provided Professional Development for leaders and teachers alike. I am passionate about leadership, teaching, and professional growth.
